ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,286,622, issued on April 29, was assigned to Auransa Inc. (Palo Alto, Canada).
"Genomics-based identification and characterization of rare cell types" was invented by Christopher Armour (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Pek Yee Lum (Palo Alto, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This disclosure provides genomics-based methods that can be used to identify, quantify, and characterize rare cell types, including circulating tumor cells."
The patent was filed on Dec. 30, 2019, under Application No. 17/419,422.
