"Distributed tracing leveraging event logs" was invented by Arthur Martella (Morris Plains, N.J.), Saumya Swarup Pattanayak (Parlin, N.J.), Clifford Weiss (East Windsor, N.J.) and Abbas Munawar Fazal (Bridgewater, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A flow logging utility tracer ("FLUTE") system can present a FLUTE user interface through which the FLUTE system can receive a trace request.
