ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,348,957, issued on July 1, was assigned to AT&T Intellectual Property I LP (Atlanta).

"Core network transformation authenticator" was invented by Joseph Soryal (Glendale, N.Y.) and Howard Lang (Wayside, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system may use information obtained by a communication service provider's core network for multi-factor authentication."

The patent was filed on Oct. 12, 2021, under Application No. 17/499,391.
