ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,469,313, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Astrin Biosciences Inc. (St. Paul, Minn.).
"Label free cell sorting" was invented by Jayant Parthasarathy (Excelsior, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are techniques for label free cell sorting. The systems and methods provided herein may use machine learning based image classification techniques to identify cells of interest within a sample of cells. The cells of interest may then be separated from the sample using mechanical, pneumatic, piezoelectric, and/or electronic devices."
