ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,523,028, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to ASSA ABLOY Americas Residential Inc. (New Haven, Conn.).

"Faucet with flow conditioner coupling" was invented by Vincent Liuzzi (Lake Forest, Calif.) and Jan Christopher van Leyen (Mission Viejo, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A faucet has a spout body with an outlet end supporting a flow conditioner. An adapter supports the flow conditioner and couples the flow conditioner in fluid communication with a flexible hose. The adapter includes a retainer configured to engage with an inner surface of the spout body to couple and retain the flow conditioner at the outlet end."
