ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,459,887, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Ascend Performance Materials Operations LLC (Houston).
"Acetonitrile separation process" was invented by Kyle Kissell (Houston) and Basil Michaels (Houston).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are processes for the separation of acetonitrile from low-purity feedstock streams. The provided processes are particularly useful for isolating acetonitrile at high purity from chemical manufacturing waste streams that include methanol, water, and allyl alcohol."
The patent was filed on Feb. 10, 2022, under Application No. 17/668,830.
