ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,492,765, issued on Dec. 9, was assigned to ASC Engineered Solutions LLC (Oak Brook, Ill.).
"Pivot clip" was invented by Jordan Cameron Belen (West Warwick, R.I.), Jeffrey Brian Shaffer (Lipan, Texas), Matthew William McNamara (Portsmouth, R.I.) and Stephen Eric Scott (North Kingstown, R.I.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pivot clip includes a substantially planar body defining an outside edge and an inside edge opposite the outside edge, the inside edge partially defining a notch; and a pair of arms extending from the inside edge, the notch formed between the pair of arms, the pair of arms angled relative to the substantially planar body...
