ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,548,849, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Asahi Kasei Battery Separator Corp. (Tokyo).
"Method for producing separator for power storage device" was invented by Xun Zhang (Tokyo), Hayato Matsuyama (Tokyo) and Tetsushi Nakao (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a method for producing a separator for a power storage device, the method including: a step for extruding powdered polyethylene, pelletized polypropylene, and a plasticizer into a sheet form using an extruder to form a molded body; and a step for making the molded body porous by a wet method."
