ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,329,631, issued on June 17, was assigned to ARTHREX INC. (Naples, Fla.).

"Embroidered textile support a biological graft" was invented by Thomas Dooney Jr. (Naples, Fla.) and Reinhold Schmieding (Naples, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A graft includes a biological graft. An embroidered textile supports the biological graft. Sutures attach the biological graft and the embroidered textile together."

The patent was filed on March 19, 2024, under Application No. 18/609,779.
