ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,285,327, issued on April 29, was assigned to Arthrex Inc. (Naples, Fla.).
"Soft anchor assembly with barbed flexible strand techniques for use" was invented by Peter J. Dreyfuss (Naples, Fla.), E. Lyle Cain Jr. (Birmingham, Ala.), William T. Pennington (Mequon, Wis.) and Paul C. Brady (Knoxville, Tenn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A soft anchor assembly according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a sheath and a flexible strand at least partially surrounded by the sheath."
