ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,407,436, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to ARRIS Enterprises LLC (Horsham, Pa.).
"Method of measuring timing holdover performance in an R-PHY system" was invented by Yair Neugeboren (Netanya, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods for measuring the amount of drift of a clock in a remote device relative to a clock in a core, both in a distributed access architecture, by measuring the change in fullness of a dejitter buffer in the remote device that holds data provided from the core."
