ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,389,142, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to ARRIS Enterprises LLC (Suwanee, Ga.).

"Daisy chaining of remote OLTs" was invented by Theodore A. Colarusso (Madbury, N.H.), David Bowler (Stow, Mass.), Shawn W. Warner (Pepperell, Mass.) and Bruce C. Pratt (Bedford, N.H.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system supporting the daisy chaining of remote optical line terminals."
