ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,431,834, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to ARRAY TECH INC. (Albuquerque, N.M.).

"Mounting rail" was invented by Benjamin de Fresart (Chandler, Ariz.) and Nathan Schuknecht (Golden, Colo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A mounting rail for securing photovoltaic (PV) modules to an underlying support structure, such as a torque tube. The mounting rail may include a body and a bracket that is attached to the body and configured to be secured around at least a portion of the support structure."

The patent was filed on Feb. 7, 2025, under Application No. 19/047,904.
