US Patent Issued to Arofa on Feb. 10 for "Raspberry plant named 'Aine'" (Spanish Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. PP37,253, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Arofa S.L. (Tajonar, Spain).

"Raspberry plant named 'Aine'" was invented by Domingo Arotzarena (Tajonar, Spain), Antonio Soto (Tajonar, Spain) and Francisco Roman (Tajonar, Spain).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new raspberry plant named 'Aine' particularly distinguished by large fruit for use in fresh market, primocane variety with two crops per season and very productive plant, and sweet flavor, is disclosed."

The patent was filed on Feb. 26, 2025, under Application No. 19/064,491.
