ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,305,031, issued on May 20, was assigned to ARKEMA INC. (King of Prussia, Pa.).

"Process for making a fluoropolymer dispersion" was invented by James T. Goldbach (Paoli, Pa.), Anthony Bonnet (Saint Laurent de Mure, France) and Andrew P. Kahn (Eagleville, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a process to produce a stable fluoropolymer latex using non-fluorinated surfactant with greater thermal stability. The polymerization is run at pressures greater than typically used. The resulting polymer exhibit improved melt color stability as compared to those produced under similar conditions at lower pressures."
