ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,418,522, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Arista Networks Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"Hitless shared secret rotation" was invented by Leandro Lisboa Penz (Dublin).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods for protocol independent methodologies for key rotation in authentication protocols that do not invalidate ongoing authentication sessions are disclosed."
The patent was filed on Nov. 2, 2022, under Application No. 17/979,568.
