ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,441,465, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to Archer Aviation Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).
"Anti-backlash flight control actuator system" was invented by Bernard Ahyow (Irvine, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A rotor blade pitch actuator has a first and second motor configured to control the rotor blade pitch. An actuator control system is configured to drive the first and second motor such that backlash is either eliminated from the system or minimized to an acceptable level."
The patent was filed on March 26, 2021, under Application No. 17/913,784.
