ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,473,604, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to ArcelorMittal (Luxembourg).

"Method for monitoring a steelmaking process and associated computer program" was invented by Damien Wagner (Maizieres-les-Metz, France) and Jean-Christophe Huber (Maizieres-les-Metz, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A monitoring method of a steelmaking process in a steelmaking vessel, wherein matters Mn, each having its respective properties PMn, are charged into said steelmaking vessel so as to produce a liquid steel and a slag."
