ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,522,574, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to ARBAFLAME TECHNOLOGY AS (Matrand, Norway).
"Process for the production of furfural" was invented by Rune Brusletto (Jar, Norway).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention refers to a method of producing furfural and optionally further basic chemicals from biomass material comprising treatment of the biomass material at elevated pressures and temperatures, to the condensates and solid product obtained by the method of the invention, as well as to their use."
The patent was filed on Sept. 23, 2019, under Application No. 17/278,881.
