ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,227,484, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to ARase Therapeutics Inc. (Boston).

"Inhibitors of PARG" was invented by Paul Chang (Cambridge, Mass.), Katherine Widdowson (Cambridge, Mass.) and Lisa J. Ames (Cambridge, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to sulfonamides and related compounds which are inhibitors of PARG and are useful in the treatment of cancer."
