US Patent Issued to Applied Materials on Feb. 25 for "Plasma treatment on metal-oxide TFT" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,237,406, issued on Feb. 25, was assigned to Applied Materials Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Plasma treatment on metal-oxide TFT" was invented by Soo Young Choi (Fremont, Calif.), Beom Soo Park (San Jose, Calif.), Yi Cui (San Jose, Calif.), Tae Kyung Won (San Jose, Calif.) and Dong-Kil Yim (Pleasanton, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Techniques are disclosed for methods of post-treating an etch stop or a passivation layer in a thin film transistor to increase the stability behavior of the thin film transistor."
