ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,413,039, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Applied Energetics Inc. (Tucson, Ariz.).

"Multiple coherent wavelength optical sources" was invented by Stephen William McCahon (Tucson, Ariz.) and Alan Kost (Tucson, Ariz.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Low wavelength infrared Super Continuum (SC) signals from a master oscillator seeds an amplifier that supports the Raman effect. Counter-propagating, high-power, continuous wave, and quasi-continuous wave quantum cascade lasers pumps (amplify) the optical seeds forming multiple coherent wavelength optical pump sources."

The patent was filed on Jan. 24, 2022, under Application No. 17/648,737....
