ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,414,117, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Uplink transmission beam selection in a secondary cell" was invented by Yang Tang (Santa Clara, Calif.), Qiming Li (Beijing), Yushu Zhang (Beijing), Manasa Raghavan (Sunnyvale, Calif.), Xiang Chen (Campbell, Calif.), Huaning Niu (San Jose, Calif.), Dawei Zhang (Saratoga, Calif.), Hong He (San Jose, Calif.), Haitong Sun (Cupertino, Calif.) and Jie Cui (San Jose, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A user equipment (UE) is provided to select an uplink transmission beam to communicate with a base station in a secondary cell of a carrier aggregation (CA) scheme. ...
