US Patent Issued to Apple on May 27 for "Oscillator with fin field-effect transistor (FinFET) resonator" (Austrian, American Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,316,276, issued on May 27, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Oscillator with fin field-effect transistor (FinFET) resonator" was invented by Harald Pretl (Schwertberg, Austria), Ehrentraud Hager (Linz, Austria) and Aly Ismail (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An integrated circuit may include oscillator circuitry having a resonator formed from fin field-effect transistor (FinFET) devices. The resonator may include drive cells of alternating polarities and sense cells interposed between the drive cells. The resonator may be connected in a feedback loop within the oscillator circuitry.
