ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,314,467, issued on May 27, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"On-the-fly calibration for improved on-device eye tracking" was invented by Jeffrey P. Bigham (Pittsburgh), Mingzhe Li (Seattle), Samuel C. White (Merritt Island, Fla.), Xiaoyi Zhang (Seattle), Qi Shan (Seattle) and Carlos E. Guestrin (Seattle).
