ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,306,232, issued on May 20, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Power detector for detecting radio frequency power output" was invented by Syed Ahmed Aamir (Munich) and Timo W. Gossmann (Neubiberg, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A power detector for measuring the radio frequency (RF) power of RF signals generated by a transmitter or a power amplifier of a transmitter is connected between two diodes of electrostatic discharge (ESD) circuitry that is connected to a signal pathway utilized to transmit the RF signals."

The patent was filed on Jan. 27, 2023, under Application No. 18/102,646.
