ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,300,837, issued on May 13, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).
"Magnetically attachable battery pack" was invented by David G. Havskjold (Portola Valley, Calif.), Patrick T. Ryan (San Francisco), Daniel A. Pfaff (San Bruno, Calif.), Emery A. Sanford (San Francisco), Miranda L. Daly (Mountain View, Calif.), Demetrios B. Karanikos (San Francisco) and Geng Luo (Santa Clara, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Battery packs that can provide power to an electronic device, can be easy to use and simple to connect to the electronic device, have a small and efficient form factor, and can readily be powered for use."
