ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,301,550, issued on May 13, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"End-to-end encryption for location sharing" was invented by Siva Ganesh Movva (San Jose, Calif.), Raghunandan K. Pai (Saratoga, Calif.), Scott Lopatin (San Jose, Calif.), Swadesh Bhattacharya (Sunnyvale, Calif.), Sarish Jain (Cupertino, Calif.) and Aashish Patil (Cupertino, Calif.).
