ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,321,569, issued on June 3, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Device, method, and graphical user interface for navigation of concurrently open software applications" was invented by Kenneth Kocienda (San Jose, Calif.) and Imran Chaudhri (San Francisco).
