ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,325,795, issued on June 10, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Silicone rubber formulations with tunable damping properties and method of preparation thereof" was invented by Andrei Gavryushin (Munich), Christian Bertl (Munich) and Juergen Sauer (Munich).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Cured silicone rubbers for acoustic damping, and formulations and methods used to make the same, are provided."

The patent was filed on Jan. 26, 2022, under Application No. 17/584,709.
