ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,328,287, issued on June 10, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).
"Beam switching in intra-band non-contiguous carrier aggregation" was invented by Yang Tang (San Jose, Calif.), Jie Cui (Santa Clara, Calif.) and Yuhan Zhou (San Diego).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Various embodiments herein describe solutions to issues in beam switching for intra-band non-contiguous carrier aggregation. For example, the UE may interrupt downlink communication on one or more component carriers when the UE switches the receive beam with intra-band non-contiguous carrier aggregation. Other embodiments may be described and claimed."
