ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,326,569, issued on June 10, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).
"Adjustment mechanism" was invented by Adam Y. Kollgaard (Santa Cruz, Calif.), Jonathan M. Anderson (San Francisco), Jeffrey A. Griffis (San Carlos, Calif.), Joel Ebers (Seattle), Trevor S. Chambers (San Diego), Sung Kim (Palo Alto, Calif.), David Dostal (Hanover, N.H.) and William Law (Palo Alto, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An apparatus can include a display, a facial interface, and a connection between the display and facial interface. The display can at least translate or rotate relative to the facial interface via the connection."
