ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,400,503, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"User interfaces for sharing an electronic key" was invented by Trevor W. Young (Livermore, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for sharing and/or re-sharing an electronic key that is provisioned onto an electronic wallet of a computer system."

The patent was filed on Sept. 20, 2022, under Application No. 17/949,042.
