ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,273,596, issued on April 8, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Universal browse and watch list" was invented by Lucas C. Newman (San Francisco), Derek A. Hunter (Aptos, Calif.) and Sandip M. Chokshi (Palo Alto, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The systems described herein provide a system for presenting affordances for applications installable on electronic devices.
