ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,279,171, issued on April 15, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).
"Operating channel validation" was invented by Jarkko L. Kneckt (Los Gatos, Calif.), Jinjing Jiang (San Jose, Calif.), Qi Wang (Sunnyvale, Calif.), Su Khiong Yong (Palo Alto, Calif.), Tianyu Wu (Fremont, Calif.) and Yong Liu (Campbell, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods, systems and apparatuses for performing a channel validation by an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) and non-AP MLD are described. An AP MLD may transmit information about multiple affiliated APs. A non-AP MLD and AP MLD may validate multiple links for communication."
