ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,533,729, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to AP&C Advanced Powders & Coatings Inc. (Boisbriand, Canada).

"Reactive metal powders in-flight heat treatment processes" was invented by Frederic Larouche (Ile Blizard, Canada), Frederic Marion (Montreal) and Matthieu Balmayer (Montreal).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There are provided reactive metal powder in-flight heat treatment processes. For example, such processes comprise providing a reactive metal powder; and contacting the reactive metal powder with at least one additive gas while carrying out said in-flight heat treatment process, thereby obtaining a raw reactive metal powder."
