ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,268,695, issued on April 8, was assigned to Amryt Pharmaceuticals Designated Activity Co. (Dublin).
"Betulin-containing birch bark extracts and their formulation" was invented by John Ashleigh Watson (Walenstadt, Switzerland), Sebastian Jager (Wiernsheim, Germany) and Tobias Zahn (Pforzheim, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to birch bark extracts, methods of producing such extracts, stable pharmaceutical compositions containing such extracts and methods of using of such extracts.
