ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,469,902, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Ampcera Inc. (Tucson, Ariz.).

"Systems and methods for heating electrochemical systems" was invented by James Emery Brown (Tucson, Ariz.), Hui Du (Tucson, Ariz.), Chen Chen (Tucson, Ariz.) and Sumin Zhu (San Francisco).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electrochemical system includes: an anode; a cathode; an electrolyte; and at least one dielectrically heatable material."
