ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,280,042, issued on April 22, was assigned to Amicus Therapeutics Inc. (Philadelphia).
"Methods of treating fabry patients having renal impairment" was invented by Jeff Castelli (New Hope, Pa.) and Elfrida Benjamin (Millstone Township, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided are methods for treatment of Fabry disease in patients having HEK assay amenable mutations in Alpha-galactosidase A. Certain methods comprise administering migalastat or a salt thereof every other day, such as administering about 150 mg of migalastat hydrochloride every other day."
The patent was filed on Dec. 21, 2022, under Application No. 18/069,732.
