ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,428,660, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Amgen Inc. (Thousand Oaks, Calif.).
"Methods for increasing mannose content of recombinant proteins" was invented by Chung-Jr Huang (Newbury Park, Calif.) and Xiaoming Yang (Oak Park, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to methods of upregulating the high mannose glycoform content of a recombinant protein during a mammalian cell culture by manipulating the mannose to total hexose ratio in the cell culture media formulation."
The patent was filed on Feb. 27, 2024, under Application No. 18/589,147.
