ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,293,678, issued on May 6, was assigned to American Greetings Corp. (Cleveland).
"Pop-up with slide lock" was invented by Charles Robert Kelly (Amherst, Ohio).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pop-up with slide lock mechanism is provided which moves between a first position, wherein the pop-up is in a flat, unfolded position, and a second position, wherein the pop-up is in an unfolded, upright or three-dimensional (3D) configuration by sliding one panel along part of the pop-up structure."
The patent was filed on Aug. 29, 2022, under Application No. 17/897,573.
