ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,415,654, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Amer Sports Canada Inc. (North Vancouver, Canada).
"Circumference closing system" was invented by Thomas W. C. Fayle (North Vancouver, Canada) and Gordon J. Betenia (North Vancouver, Canada).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Various example garment, footwear and bag articles may include a closable circumference in the form of a mouth, waist or foot opening. A circumference closing system may utilize at least one constrict-able tubular length to releasably retain a selected size of the closable circumference or opening."
The patent was filed on March 5, 2024, under Application No. 18/596,257.
