US Patent Issued to AMD Design on Nov. 25 for "Low profile, self-locking latch" (New Jersey Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,484,181, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to AMD Design LLC (Wilmington, Del.).

"Low profile, self-locking latch" was invented by Chen An (Secaucus, N.J.), Mahesh Kumar Varrey (Secaucus, N.J.) and Yuan Zhang (Secaucus, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An automatically-locking latch includes a first slider having a linking pin, a trigger having a tooth, and a second slider having a catch and a first ramp.
