ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,304,995, issued on May 20, was assigned to AMBILIGHT INC. (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands).
"Electrochromic polymers with high optical contrasts" was invented by Jianguo Mei (West Lafayette, Ind.), Liyan You (West Lafayette, Ind.), Kuluni Perera (West Lafayette, Ind.) and Wenting Wu (Lafayette, Ind.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new electrochromic polymer with high optical contrast and an electrochromic device incorporating the electrochromic polymer are presented. The electrochromic polymer includes side chains selected from C5-C20 linear or branched alkyl."
