ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. PP37,149, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Altman Specialty Plants llc (Vista, Calif.).
"Floribunda rose plant named 'ALTtiger'" was invented by Peter Lim (Escondido, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Rose plant named 'ALTtiger' is disclosed, characterized by distinctive yellow flowers with deep pink stripes. The new cultivar has a compact growth habit and can be grown commercially on its own roots. Plants have dark, foliage resistant to black spot and powdery mildew disease. The new variety is normally produced as an outdoor garden or container plant."
