US Patent Issued to Alliance for Sustainable Energy, UT-Battelle on Nov. 4 for "Engineered microorganisms for the deconstruction of polymers" (American, Spanish Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,460,176, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Alliance for Sustainable Energy LLC (Golden, Colo.) and UT-Battelle LLC (Oak Ridge, Tenn.).

"Engineered microorganisms for the deconstruction of polymers" was invented by Gregg Tyler Beckham (Golden, Colo.), Thelhawadigedara Lahiru Niroshan Jayakody (Wheat Ridge, Colo.), Adam Michael Guss (Oak Ridge, Tenn.), Thomas David Mand (Oak Ridge, Tenn.), Christopher W. Johnson (Denver) and Isabel Pardo Mendoza (Dos Hermanas, Spain).
