ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,414,842, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to ALIGN TECHNOLOGY INC. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Creating a digital dental model of a patient's teeth using interproximal information" was invented by Bob Grove (San Jose, Calif.) and Eric Kuo (San Jose, Calif.).
