ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,390,541, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, N.Y.).
"Mutant variants of PD-1 receptor with selective binding to PD-L1 and uses thereof" was invented by Andras Fiser (New York), Rojan Shrestha (Bronx, N.Y.), Steven C. Almo (Pelham, N.Y.) and Sarah C. Garrett (Bronx, N.Y.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are human Programmed Cell Death-1 (PD-1) receptor mutants having selectivity for PD-L1 compared to PD-L2, methods of obtaining the mutants, and uses of the mutants for treatment and imaging."
