ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,334,103, issued on June 17, was assigned to Alarm.com Inc. (Tysons, Va.).

"Door knock access control" was invented by William Wireko Mensah (Fairfax, Va.), Daniel John Koniar (Bloomington, Minn.), Liyu Yao (McLean, Va.), Martin Logan Elliott (Frederick, Md.) and John Zhang (Chicago).
