US Patent Issued to Akron BioProducts on May 27 for "Method to prepare therapeutically active aldesleukin highly stable in liquid pharmaceutical compositions" (Argentinean, American Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,389, issued on May 27, was assigned to Akron BioProducts LLC (Boca Raton, Fla.).

"Method to prepare therapeutically active aldesleukin highly stable in liquid pharmaceutical compositions" was invented by Juan Manuel Rodriguez (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Claudia Zylberberg (Delray Beach, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a liquid pharmaceutical composition of aldesleukin/SDS aggregates and its use in the treatment of auto-immune disease, inflammatory disorders and cancer. A method for preparing said composition is also described."

The patent was filed on Dec. 11, 2020, under Application No. 17/118,915.
